Research Outline
Optimum and sustainable development schemes have been developed using a numerical model of high temperature geothermal reservoir. For this purpose, tracer test analysis method for a multiple flow path model was developed and applied for various field for evaluating hydrogeologic properties of reservoir. A vertical two dimensional porous model was also developed for examining tracer movement in the porous media. Productivity of geothermal well was evaluated using a steam-water two-phase wellbore model.
Three dimensional grid model of high temperature geothermal reservoir
Develop a numerical model of high temperature geothermal reservoir, which is used for natural state and history matching simulations for optimum and sustainable development of the reservoir.
Laboratory experiment of tracer test using a vertical two dimensional porous media
Experimental apparatus for simulating fluid flow between reinjection and production wells in geothermal reservoir was developed for examining the effects of distances between wells, heterogeneity of permeability of porous media.
